Same Sex Marriage is a threat to traditional marriage. At least that is what you hear from many of the faithful, especially conservative Christians. They never really say how. If they do try to explain, it is usually in the form of a tautology; marriage is meant to be between a man and a woman…
Absence
It is the silence I hear the most
No exasperated sigh when I fuck up again
No loving sigh to say it’s all right
No lingering exhalation of cigarette smoke
No comforting wakeup-in-the-middle-of-the-night snores(which I never thought I would ever miss)
No Barbra or Bette with afternoon wine
No echoes of life, just the silence of the past
